Can you help me learn English for free?
I am a qualified, experienced English teacher, this is my job. Unfortunately I am not able to give free lessons.
Can I pay by credit card?
Yes, on the Verbling platform you can pay by credit card or Paypal.
Can I pay after the lesson is completed?
No, all lessons must be paid in advance.
Can I book a lesson for today?
Lessons should be booked at least 12 hours in advance, to guarantee high quality, professional lessons and a convenient lesson time for you.
Can I arrange the time and date of my lesson before I pay?
No, you must pay for the lesson before you can book a lesson on Emma's schedule.
Do I need special equipment?
A headset with earphones and a microphone works best with a PC or laptop. Verbling recommends using Google Chrome or Firefox. You will need a fast and stable internet connection in order to have good quality video and audio (check here for more information).
What if I have technical problems during the lesson?
Unfortunately Emma cannot reschedule the class if you have technical problems. However, if the problems are due to Emma's computer or internet, the lesson will be rescheduled.
Can I reschedule a lesson?
Lessons can be rescheduled more than 12 hours before the start time of the lesson. If it is less than 12 hours, you will need to cancel the lesson and you will receive a 50% refund. If you do not reschedule or cancel and you do not arrive for the lesson, you will be charged the full price.
Can I cancel a course?
This is not usual practice, once a course has been booked Emma immediately starts working on creating a course for you. However, it is possible to cancel the lessons and book them with another teacher on Verbling. It is not possible to receive a refund from Verbling.
What if I arrive late for the lesson?
If you arrive late, you will lose that time. Emma will always wait for 30 minutes, if you do not arrive after 30 minutes, you will be charged for the lesson.
